Pumza Sibindi: “Ukuba ndisadla amazimba ndiza kuqhubeka ndibhale esi sihobe ngolwimi lwenkobe.”

“Inkululeko endiyifumanayo xa ndibhala isiXhosa kunye nentsingiselo yamagama ingunobangela wokuba ndibhale ngesiXhosa,” itsho intwazana eyimbongi yosiba eyinzalelwane yaseDutywa eMpuma Koloni.

UPumza Sibindi nowaziwa ngelika “MaDiya” kumaqonga okubonga, uthi ungumntwana wesithathu kubazali bakhe. Kwaye eyona nto imqhubele ekubongeni ziinzima ahlangabene nazo phaya ngomnyaka ka2009.

Ngenxa yokufihleka kwentsingiselo kwimibongo yam, abahlobo bam bathi: ” uyimbongi wena, ngumbongo lo,” ndavuma ke noxa ndandi ngekaziboni njengembongi nanamhlanje,” utsho uMaDiya.

Uthi uqale ngonyaka ka 2012 ukubhala ngesiXhosa, zange aphinde ajonge ngasemva. Ukususela apho uzibandakanye nezinye iimbongi, esafunda kwaNokholeji (University of Fort Hare) kwiqela elalisaziwa nge “Deep Black Voices”.

Ngelixa uMaDiya wayekwisikhululo sikanomathotholo ebonga

Ngelixa ebuzwa ngoyena nobangela wokuba abhale ngesiXhosa, uthe uyakhululeka xa ebhala ngesiXhosa kwaye uyakwazi ukuzoba umfanekiso ngqondweni ngendlela efanelekileyo.

“Kumaxesha amaninzi ndibhala ndikhathazekile okanye ndisemsindweni, kunzima ukucaphuka ngolunye ulwimi. Kukho amagama esiXhosa ekunzima ukuwatolika. Okunye oku ndiqhubayo kukuba isiXhosa asibonelwa ntweni. Kude kubekho abantu abasibuza imibuzo efe amanqa ” uyaphi maan ngesiXhosa?”,  eyonanto iye indidanisa kukuba lo mbuzo ubuzwa kwa ngamanye amaXhosa. Ngokumane besijongela phantsi, uthando lwam kuso luya lukhula. Indawo yaseChizele apho ndikhulele khona inalo ifuthe kuthando lwam lesiXhosa.”

EMpuma-Koloni akavamisanga ukubona iimbongi ezingabantu basetyhini, ingakumbi ezibonga ngesiXhosa. Kodwa ukuzimisela kuka MaDiya kubonisa ukuba iyenzeka lento. Kwaye uyibeke yacaca into yokuba ukuba ngumntu wasetyhini akunanto kumthintela kuyo eqongeni.

” Imiceli mngeni endihlangabezana nayo, ndidibana nayo nje ngombhali hayi kuba ndingumntu wasetyhini, kuba noogxa bam abanga madoda ziyabehlela. Naye uthi akakaneliseki uPumza yindawo abeme kuyo nje ngeembongi zesiNtu. Uthi isiXhosa siyathandwa ngabantu kodwa akayichani ncam eyonanto idingekayo.

” Ukuba kukho abantu abafana noMama uJessica Mbangeni abakwaziyo ukufumana iimbasa babe bebhala ngesiXhosa, lonto ithetha ukuba asikho sezantsi isiXhosa. Imbongi yesizwe utata uZolani Mkiva nayo ikwabonga ngesiXhosa.”

Le ntwazana inomnqweno wokukhupha icwecwe lemibongo ngenye imini, ithi sele iqalisile ukushicilela ingoma  kwaye ubonile ukuba akusokuze kube ngumceli-mngeni ukushicilela icwecwe lakhe.

Mayelana nokunqaba kweminyhadala eqaqambisa okanye ephakamisa isiXhosa, uPumza uthi angakhomba abantu abathile ababangela isiXhosa sisilele ngasemva. ” Isebe elijongene nale micimbi eMpuma-Koloni lenza kancinci kakhulu, ukuba bebeyivula iminyango izinto ngezi ngcono kakhulu,” ucacisile watsho.

Eli gqiyazana liyakholelwa ukuba isiXhosa sinekamva eliqaqambileyo kakhulu. ” Ikamva likhona lona, nditsho kuba ndizazi ukuba ndingomnye wabantu abazakuqinisekisa ukuba isiXhosa asibhangi. Ukuba ndisadla amazimba ndiza kuqhubeka ndibhale esi sihobe ngolwimi lwenkobe.”

Le nyanga yamagugu nenkcubeko, ayithethi lukhulu kule Mbongi. ” Andihluphi nangokubhiyoza mna, bazithutha kakhulu kumakhasi onxibelelwano abantu, kungona bazingcayo kule nyanga besithi bayazazi. UMaDiya uthi intwazana ezikhulayo mazibhale, zizimisele. “Akululanga kodwa kuyenzeka, into efunakayo kukuba umntu akholelwe kuye kwaye azithembe. Ukuba ngenene lubizo lwakho, akufanelanga ukuba uve ubunzima,” ucaciso watsho.
